Spark 360 Startup Update

Our Spark360 and Resident Company Programs provide the resources to support inventors and entrepreneurs to successfully navigate through each of the stages of the Technology Development Cycle across the complete spectrum of Technology Readiness Levels and the Business Venture Cycle of staup, build out and exit.

We offer Program participants unparalleled access to industry sector, technology and business knowledge experts to leverage ideas to commercialization.

With 19 new technologies, supported by 20+ patents, currently within our startup programs our Technology Development Methodologies and Program execution is providing participating inventors and entrepreneurs with increased scale up capacity and knowledge to become investment ready to excel in their chosen markets.

CleanTech to Combat Emissions:
A Startup's Journey in Addressing the Oil and Gas Emissions Problem

Speaker: Liz O'Connell, President and Co-Founder of Arolytics, a software-based startup that leverages data and modelling to optimize how the oil and gas sector measures, mitigates and discloses atmospheric emissions - www.arolytics.com

Approximately 3.6 trillion cubic feet of natural gas escapes into the atmosphere from global oil and gas operations annually, amounting to about $30 billion in lost revenues.Increasing regulatory, financial and investor pressures have raised the importance of emissions management. How big is this problem in Alberta, what is the role of cleantech in the solution, and, is Canada on track to achieve national reduction targets?

SUMMER CAMPS FOR STUDENTS GRADES 9-12

New custom Introductory Program offering for New Canadian students; the camp will be supported by ESL instructors. A fun and empowering 5-day online camp exploring innovation and entrepreneurship.

Date: July 19th to July 23rd
Time: 9:00am to 11:00am daily

Location: a Zoom link will be provided to participants shortly before the camp begins.

Join us in June every Friday from 12.00-1.00pm MDT for Amii's weekly virtual Artificial Intelligence (AI) Seminar! The AI Seminar provides presentations to the general community--anyone interested in learning more about AI! Presenters are from the University of Alberta, other institutions, and local industries, and discuss a wide range of topics related to AI, from foundational theoretical work to innovative applications to new fields and exciting challenges.
