Summer Camps

Arts and Tech Maker Summer Camps for Kids have been a huge success!

Coding
for Adults

An introductory course in computer programming for adults. We will cover basic coding concepts with an emphasis on practical examples applicable in everyday work or personal life.

No prior coding experience is required but there will be directed online course assignments to be undertaken between the weekly classes. Attendees must bring their own laptop computer.

Venue: artsPlace Theatre
Mondays 6:15 -7:45 pm
October 21st – Dec 16th (7 weeks; no class October 28th and Nov 11th)

Canmore Festival of Art & Creativity

Organized and Presented by artsPlace

FREE workshops, demos, and live performances, all weekend long.

Friday, Sept 27th to Sunday, Sept 29th
Venue: artsPlace Theatre

Special Event: Virtual Reality Experience by Innovate Canmore and The Canmore Museum.
Try out a virtual reality system. Delve deep into a Canmore Mine and watch the miners working. You can try out the technology yourself or just observe the experience on the big screen. The animator/designer will be on hand to answer questions.

for Kids

An 8 week introduction to computer programming for kids aged 8 to 12 years. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Canmore and Bow Valley College this free program is offered as a weekly evening course during the Fall and Winter.

Venue: Bow Valley College, Canmore Campus.
