Canmore Tech Student Recognition

Congratulations to Colin Fearing of Canmore who recently created a short film combining AI-generated imagery, facial motion capture, and hand/procedural animation with intimate human storytelling. The film was displayed on subway screens across Calgary and Edmonton as part of FAVA's 2022 Gotta Minute Film Festival. It also won 2nd place overall.

As well, Colin’s nature video "A World Beyond The Screen" was recently shown at the Calgary International Film Festival, and was also accepted to several other festivals, including the Newport Beach Film Festival just outside of LA. This video is notable because the first 90 seconds are almost entirely computer generated - my house doesn't look anything like that!

Both videos are on Colin’s "Videos" webpage here.

Get Started in Electronics

For ages 9-14…learn how to build your own electronics and robotics.

New skills include building circuits, connecting them to a micro-controller and writing a code to control the circuit (an intro to robotics).

More info coming soon.
