 Joel Krupa, Ph.D

Joel holds a Ph.D from the University of Toronto specializing in Climate Change, an M.Sc degree from the University of Oxford and a B.Sc degree from the London School of Economics.

He is presently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard University John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences working with David Keith, the Gordon McKay Professor of Applied Physics at Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Professor of Public Policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School and Founder of Carbon Engineering, a Canadian company developing technology to capture CO2 directly from the atmosphere. Joel’s research assesses challenges and opportunities facing environmental NGO’s in solar geoengineering governance.

His private sector experience includes Senior Analyst roles at Pic Energy, a Canadian clean energy infrastructure developer, and the Ontario Power Authority. Additionally, he is presently the Chief Administration Officer at the education technology company, Agents of Discovery, an Innovate Canmore Resident Company specializing in the field of Augmented Reality and Animation.

Joel and his family presently reside in Kelowna, BC where he enjoys reading and walking and his time in the gym.
