 Julie-Anne Fritz, Ph.D

Julie-Anne received her Ph.D in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Australian National University. She has extensive experience as both an educator and research scientist, including research positions at the University of Calgary, The Australian National University and as a Visiting Scholar at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute at the Harvard Medical School.

Most recently she has served as a Professor in the Department of General Education (Scientific and Mathematical Literacy) at Mount Royal University, Calgary. Her personal and professional interest in education and the importance of Innovation and STEM Learning has led her to become a co-organizer of the Innovation Exchange project in partnership with the Science Alberta Foundation MindFuel program, the University of Calgary and Mount Royal University. Additionally, Julie-Anne has extensive experience with developing and writing research protocols, funding proposals, grant applications and reports, newsletters, media articles and social media content.

Julie-Anne lives in Canmore and is an avid rock climber.
